Terms of Use

Last updated September 30, 2026

These terms cover using thirteenthstudio.net, the free business check and booking a call with us. By using the site, you agree to them. If anything here isn’t clear, ask us.

Who we are

Thirteenth Studio (“we”, “us”) builds websites, Google profiles, missed-call automation and ads for owner-run local businesses.

Using the site

Use it for what it’s for: learning about us, checking a business, booking a call or sending us a message. Please don’t:

  • try to break it, overload it or get around how it works, or use bots to copy from it in bulk
  • give false details, or someone else’s details without their OK
  • use it to break the law or to harm anyone

The free business check

The check is an automated look at public information about a business — its website, its Google listing and other things anyone can see online. Websites change, some things can’t be seen from the outside, and automated tools get things wrong, so a report can be wrong, out of date or incomplete. When the check can’t tell, the report says so.

Treat it as a starting point, not a guarantee of results or professional advice (legal, financial or technical). Each report has its own private link — anyone you share the link with can see it.

Booking a call

Booking a call is free, and you’re under no obligation to buy anything. We’ll do our best to keep the time; if we ever need to move it, we’ll tell you. If you can’t make it, reply to your invite or let us know.

Working with us

If you become a client, the work is covered by the written agreement you sign with us. These terms don’t replace it, and if the two ever disagree, the agreement wins. What the website says about our services and our guarantee is a summary — the exact terms are in the agreement.

Our content and name

The website — its words, design and graphics, and the Thirteenth Studio name and logo — belongs to us. You’re welcome to link to it and to share your own business check report. Please don’t copy the site, or use our name or logo in a way that suggests we’re connected with you when we’re not.

Links to other sites

The site links to other sites, like Google. We don’t control them and aren’t responsible for what’s on them.

No warranty

We work to keep the site accurate and running, but as far as the law allows, we provide it and the free business check “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We don’t promise the site will always be available or free of errors, or that a report is complete.

Limit of our liability

As far as the law allows, we aren’t responsible for indirect losses — like lost profits, lost business or lost data — from using the site or the free business check, or from relying on a report. For anything else to do with the website and its free tools, our total responsibility is limited to CA$100. Nothing here takes away rights you have under consumer protection law that can’t be taken away.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and using the site after a change means you accept it.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and disputes go to the courts of Alberta — unless the law where you live says otherwise.
